Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about available workshops and training? Here's answers to some of our most frequently asked questions. Still have questions? Contact me today.
  • How will my company benefit from hiring a leadership trainer or coach?

Companies who invest in their leaders experience increased productivity and increased employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Good employees don’t leave companies … they leave managers! Investing in your company’s leaders has shown to have the greatest return on investment as there is a ripple effect throughout your organization as attitudes shift and communication becomes clearer and more effective.

  • What type of training or certifications do you have?

I have earned certifications as a Certified Life Coach, PROSCI Change Management Professional, FISH Philosophy Facilitator, DISC Human Behaviourist Master Level Trainer, and John Maxwell Leadership Trainer/Coach/Speaker.

I am also the recipient of the Athena Women’s Leadership Award.

  • What kind of corporate/leadership training do you provide?

I offer leadership training to build current leaders/managers to be the best versions of themselves and bring their teams to another level. Your leaders will learn that investing in their personal/professional growth is the key to effective leadership. Each training session is tailored to your organization’s needs.

  • How will I know if the leadership training sessions are working?

Businesses will see that training is working by seeing a shift toward more positive working behaviours, stronger communication among employees, less conflict among leaders and teams, and improved results/production.

  • Why did you decide to become a leadership trainer and coach?

My decision to train in leadership resulted from my working with many business owners and human resource professionals over the years as an Accessibility Trainer.  A common theme among employers was frustration and stress over staffing and getting employees to work efficiently. I’d often hear comments such as:

    • “My employees don’t listen to me.”
    • “I have to constantly monitor what they’re doing to be sure it’s done on time.”
    • “How can I make them listen?… the first time!”

This is a challenge many leaders deal with. Building a team that is invested in their work (whether you are there or not) frees up your time to work ON your business instead of IN your business.

I’ve got some ideas to help you build your team and bring them to the level you need—it starts with your leaders/managers/supervisors. From here I can recommend a specific program/training session based on your company’s unique needs.

  • My employee approached me saying they don’t feel appreciated or valued at work. How do I handle this?

Excellent! It’s obvious you have developed a relationship that allows your employee to be open and honest with you! As different personalities have different needs it’s wise to invest some time with your employees to discover how they individually define feeling appreciated and valued.
